The next meTeORiC will take from February 19-21, 2027. Submissions are now open. Open to all, meTeORiC is a celebration of experimentation, collectivity, and unconstrained creativity. Over three days, the already artful town of Truth or Consequences is transformed by experiences, presentations, and gatherings. Each year’s curation emerges from an open call, and is built around the themes that bubble up from the submitting and participating artists. In past years, works have ranged from new to old, and spanned beyond conventional categories to include films, installations, aerial performances, knife forging, poetry, collective dinners, public forums, audio interviews, sculpture, music, and much much more. The festival is a collaboration between a diverse group of acclaimed artists and storytellers from Truth or Consequences and around the world who have worked intimately since 2018 to re-envision what a community led festival can be. https://meteoric.world/teaser Wed, 11 Mar 2020 00:20:08 +0000 Meteoric https://meteoric.world/teaser https://meteoric.world/location Wed, 11 Mar 2020 00:01:47 +0000 Meteoric https://meteoric.world/location Truth or Consequences, New Mexico nearest airport: albuquerquedrive from airport: 2.5 hrs nearest bus / train: none https://meteoric.world/FAQs Sun, 07 Dec 2025 02:43:53 +0000 Meteoric https://meteoric.world/FAQs Frequently Asked QuestionsWhen is the festival? The fourth edition of meTeORiC will take place February 19-21st, 2027. Through core tenets of art—unconstrained, always transforming, playful, thoughtful, and conversational—meTeORiC aspires to model the kind of world we want to live in, together. What is the festival’s history? The festival began in 2019 with a bold desire to re-envision what a community-led festival could be. For over a year artists from Truth or Consequences and around the world held intimate conversations about what they wanted for themselves, their lives, and their communities. This resulted in the inaugural festival which was created through horizontal and decentralized curation. Artists designed their festival participation, resulting in a vast array of different works bound together by a commitment to gathering, experimenting, and collaborating. Read an interview here between the Sundance Institute and Kyle Cunningham, Melissa McKinstry, Alexander Porter, and Hannah Jayanti—four of the many artists involved in the inaugural year. The 2024 and 2025 festivals were led by Kyle Cunningham and Hieronymus Bogs, and the 2027 festival is being stewarded by a steering committee consisting of Christine Auten, Bethany Tabor, Hannah Jayanti, and Dimid Hayes. https://meteoric.world/contact Sat, 25 Oct 2025 00:58:56 +0000 Meteoric https://meteoric.world/contact ︎ meteorictorc@gmail.com ︎ meteoric.torc ︎ meteoric.torc https://meteoric.world/submissions Fri, 31 Oct 2025 19:12:04 +0000 Meteoric https://meteoric.world/submissions Submissions are open, and reviewed on a rolling basis.
